In-home nursing care for your elderly loved ones
a message from Anne Armstrong
I'm Anne Armstrong. I've been a registered nurse since 1982, and I bring a wide range of experience to Keystone Eldercare Solutions.
I have been an RN for the Victorian Order of Nurses, for northern Vancouver Island, for many years. I've worked in long-term care facilities, physicians' offices, hospitals, and medical clinics.
Working as a home-care case manager, I designed and implemented problem-solving strategies that provided comprehensive individual care for people of all ages. I also worked directly with the governmental agencies that so often play an essential role in long-term care planning.
As an RN in local long-term care facilities, I regularly assessed and treated residents with a variety of needs.
I have seen the sometimes frustrating interaction between the medical establishment and those in need of care from many different perspectives.
This first-hand view of the difficulties that too often
confront residents and their families has shown me
the important role a strong advocate can play.
Compassionate, Professional Care
My own commitment to delivering compassionate and professional care is fortified by my experience.
While I have discovered that being a professional caregiver has its challenges and rewards, when you become a caregiver for your own family or friends, those challenges can seem overwhelming.
My father and I are the primary caregivers for my mother, who has been seriously ill for many years. Navigating the various care options for my mother has given me insight into what is available in our community. The process can be daunting.
The most important resource available to you is comprehensive information and care delivered in a straightforward manner by experienced professionals. And that’s exactly what we provide.
I look forward to putting my experience to work for you! |
